Would You Love a Kindle?

Do You Love To Read?

Is the act of reading a love in itself to you? Do you treasure the books you read or do you clear your bookshelves every six months; sending books you've already read to the library? Do you struggle with the actual weight of the tome you are currently reading and wish there were an easier, more portable device you could use?

If the act of reading the book, the smells and the textures of new books or dusty, library books is what you love the most then the Kindle may take some getting used to.

However, if it is the joy of reading, the delight in new technology and the luxury of receiving the next book instantly then this device, the Kindle or the Kindle DX is your cup of tea!

The price is not bad, less than three hundred dollars. the wireless coverage appears best on the East coast and Midwest with the larger cities scattered across the US showing as well in range. The ability to download (wireless feature) is free at this time, you are allowed permanent access to the books you purchase and the Kindle holds over a thousand copies. There is also a feature that allows the kindle to become an audio book although the computer voice is not described nor does it say if it is read/recorded by an author or if it is a computer generated voice.

Still, this new technology is improving and there may well be a generation of young people who will have their favorite bedtime books read to them from a Kindle instead of from the book itself.

Hmmmm....not a bad idea. Was bedtime ritual for your children similar to mine? Kids all ready, chasing through the house complete, teeth finally brushed, compromised on whose turn it was to pick the book then the search to actually find the book in the toy box, under the bed, or heaven forbid where it was supposed to be; on the actual bookshelf?

The Kindle would certainly give Mom and Dad more quality time, eh?
