Which Electric Car Do You Prefer?

It is difficult to think about buying a new car when the Saturn is paid for and there is not a guarantee a job will last long enough to pay off a new vehicle. Nevertheless, the new alternative powered vehicles are enticing with their sleek lines and quiet engines.

Perhaps the best part of an electric car is the cost of driving one. It is noted that it can cost less than a dollar a day if you live in a large enough city whose electricity comes from "nuclear, natural gas, hydro and even a little wind and sun." Otherwise, the cost of powering the vehicle will increase if your community electricity is more expensive.

Then the cost of the vehicle itself still stays out of most budgets with the least expensive by Nissan starting at $30,000. Nonetheless, at a dollar a day to drive it might pay for itself before you paid for the car compared to paying $2.50 a gallon of gasoline.

Now, if you feel that driving should be fun or do not drive at all then the Tesla Roadster is for you, otherwise if you are looking for a steady, worry free mode of transportation that will get you from point A to point B without problem; then perhaps the Renault or the Nissan BEV styles are your cup of tea!

Check them all out, as they show up at the end of this year, 2010 and the start of 2011! Decide for yourself if you will be holding onto your Camaro or Mustang or if you will upgrade to the futuristic cars and keep your touring car for just that! Touring the country and styling in your Saturn Ion with moon roof, spoiler and five on the floor! Ah, Ha I definitely believe if it is not fun to drive what is the point after all?

So for myself, I will stick with my Saturn as long as possible! It is nice not having another bill every month!
